OH CANADA

Man, am I behind in this blog. I know I don't really have this massive readership, holding their breath for any news regarding the latest exploits of the short, but I feel bad. Just for myself. I'm so behind I have to write about something that already happened, and it should have been a 'hey! look at this! an award!' kinda thing. Well, here it is: HEY! LOOK AT THIS! AN AWARD! 'True Beauty' won 'Best Independent Narrative' at the Canadian International Annual Film/Video Festival. Canada is a beautiful place indeed.

  2. Hi! We just saw your film at the 24FPS in Abilene, TX- and HANDS DOWN it was the winner in our group of friends! (the voters went with some dull, horrifying child abuse thing as the overall winner, but they were obviously abused themselves... ;)
As all of your previous awards say, your film was charming and moving and really left one with a very quirky happy sensation :)
Much luck to you in the future, and thank you for brightening the West Tx 24FPS festival!!!

  5. Hi Anonymous, Adrienne, and Blake!
I'll try to answer and comment all in one fell swoop (there's no end to my ambition). Thank you all for liking the short, and for taking the time to write. I know myself that time's short, and for some reason it keeps on getting shorter, so I really appreciate the minutes spent commenting. Now the songs in the film are 'something stupid' (correctly identified), then 'Capa meets the Sun (To Heal)' from Underworld, and lastly 'Whistle for the Choir' by The Fratellis. Thanks again Adrienne, like I said before, you guys are very cool. And Blake, is there a festival where I can catch your film? would love to see it.
thanks to all of you again.
    Cheers
    P.
